Sometimes, I get ideas while I’m scouring the Internet. Or when I’m in the shower. Or while I’m cooking. Sometimes, even when I’m reading.
It’s no wonder I take ages to finish one thing.
(It’s taken me several attempts to finish this post.)
Anyway, I have an idea, and I’m going to throw it out there, and see if there are any takers.
Every month, starting today, I will randomly pick one blog commenter at the end of each month, and offer her (I don’t really have male readers), a free 30-day 150×150 sidebar ad (worth $25) on my blog. All you have to do is comment on at least two posts for the specific month to be in the draw.
The “winner” can choose to advertise her blog or Etsy shop or business. For free. For 30 days. If the “winner” decides not to take up the offer (but why wouldn’t you?), she can choose to pass it on to a deserving friend.
How does that sound?
Am I foolish for giving free sidebar space away? Maybe.
Will I ever actually sell any sidebar ads after this? I don’t know.
Frankly, it’s not that important. I just want to do something nice for my readers. You guys have always been so supportive, taking time out to read and comment, to share my posts, to be there for me. It’s my way of thanking you.
Comment away!
